I have to admit that I always liked Canon's digital cameras, especially the consumer products (Powershot). I bought my first digital camera, a Canon Powershot S300, in September 2001 - just before my trip to Japan. I used it for more than three years and I am still impressed by the quality of the pictures.

In 2004 I bought the Canon Powershot Pro1, which was a huge improvement. I used it for a year.

Finally in 2005 I got the Canon EOS 20D and most of the lenses. This is my primary camera right now.

Resolution

One of the disadvantages of Canon's consumer cameras is that they all have an apect ratio of 4:3.
