The Collaboration and Visualization group of the NEESgrid project is developing a tool set for the collaboratory and Internet-based laboratory portion of the George E. Brown, Jr. Network for Earthquake Engineering Simulation (NEES). With these tools, earthquake engineering researchers and practitioners will be able to communicate about and view results of experiments being run at locations around the country.

One of these tools is the DataViewer. It is designed so that it could be a tool in the CHEF framework, which is also developed at the University of Michigan (Worktools Next Generation).

The DataViewer allows the user the look at data sets collected in earthquake experiments (e.g., hundreds of sensors collecting data thousands of times per second, over periods of time ranging from a few minutes to several hours).

Before you can run the NEES DataViewer, you have to download and install the following packages. Please refer to my technical page for detail.
